no mpeg with Matroxx g450

Hi there,

a couple of days ago my videocard broke down, so i put in a Matroxx G450 i found in the attic....
the problem is that i can watch AVI, but no Mpeg (dvd,wmv). I get a green flickering screen then.
i use xp with the drivers from the matroxx website.
does anybody have have a solution ?

Probably due to the decoder's attempts at hardware acceleration, and/or the remnants of the previous graphics card's drivers. Which player?

Try Media Player Classic

(maybe buy a new card ! LOL)
