    plug n play, wizard ask for driver

    I’ve been all over the help and chat boards and find many others with the same problem as I have but no fixes yet.
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
    Plug n Play devices, some not all, are launching the driver wizard and won’t load cause there is no driver to give the wizard. This has happened all usb hubs I have tried and suddenly after using a usb hard drive it stopped loading it and started running the wizard when I plug it in.
    <o></o>
    I’ve read that I should reload my OS and would do it but have not read any where that a reinstall has fixed the problem.
    <o></o>
    Any ideas.

    Hi Lindal,

    Before doing a reinstall of the OS, why not try a system restore back to a date when things were functioning normally?

      doesn't sound like an xp problem, first thing the poster should have told us was what OS they were running
