    Windows Live Messenger

Every time I try signing into my Windows Live Messenger 8.0, it keeps rejecting me. I type my MSN e-mail address and password in right and when I click on Sign-in it keeps changing my MSN e-mail address to my Yahoo one and half of my password always deletes. I tried signing in with my Yahoo e-mail address and password and half of my Yahoo password deleted. I remember having this problem ages ago when Microsoft first released Windows Live Messenger 7.5 and I had the same problem then. I thought the Messenger had a glitch so I got rid of it and I hoped the next version would work and it's just the same.

    Many thanks.

    Darren.

I had the same problem but it was because I was signed in on my other PC. You could also try changing your password.

      Many thanks for the help.

I found out I can sign in under a different ID but not the one I want to use. It seems the new IDs fail. The thing is, due to the Messenger cutting half of my password, I don't want to shorten it to sign in because I'll have a weak password there.

When I see my Yahoo e-mail address suddenly appear, I remember somebody telling me she logs in with her Yahoo there. I might be mistaken but she mentioned something about MSN and Yahoo together.

      Darren.
