Problem with Windows Media Player 10

    Hi,

I have a wmv file that was encoded with Windows Media Endoer 9 series. When I play the file in Windows Media player 10 the file appears scrambled, with full hardware accelaration. However if I reduce the hardware accelaration the file is played properly, but I am not suppose to modify the Hardware accelaration as it will affect my other software packages. The same wmv file when played with Windows Media player 9 is properly played. Can anyone help me in resolving the issue. U can also mail me your sugestions to e-mail address removed .

    Thanks in advance

      Hi,

I did some more analysis on the problem and found the following. I tried modifying the frame rate of the wmv file. The bitrate was somewhere around 3MBPS for a movie file that I generated with 1 FPS, it is a high resolution movie. Even then the movie appeared scrambled. Is this a problem caused because of high bitrate.
