Extra files left on hard drive by DVDFab Platinum

    Hello,
I have only recently started using DVDFab and have burn maybe 4 or 5 movies so far. I thought I was deleting all the video files from my hard drive but I must be doing something wrong because today I discovered that the space on my hard drive is nearly full and I am assuming it must be from extra files still being left on from the burning process.

Previously I was using DVD decryptor along with DVD Shrink and with those programs all extra files were deposited in a folder so when I was through I would go ahead and manually delete them as well as the video files placed on the hard drive by the decryptor.

I thought I was doing this by deleting the Video_TS folder and its content from the Full Disc folder of DVDFab but there must be something else that I am not doing. Before using DVDFab my hard drive was practically empty and now it is near full and I have no idea how to fix this problem.

Can someone please help me...I am an idiot and I am very upset because I do not know what to do!

    Thank you.
    Medea

Make sure that if you have Nortons it isn't keeping the files in the protected recycle bin. You can also search for files over 4 gigs to try and locate where they are stored.

I search for 500 MB, myself. If its orphan .VOBs, they're usually slightly less than 1GB.

Had the same problem myself. I ripped 5 movies in a week and deleted them manually as too large for the bin. Checking on the drive free space they are still there. Ironically, they seem to disappear after one or two weeks or so. Why, i have no clue. Tried to search as suggested, you can't find them as there's no reference to it. But if you try to Defrag you can see them being moved around. Maybe someone can tell us more on this as i am interested too. I got 25 gig sitting there used but unreferenced on my external drive.

              @ Witchmedea,
I refer to my post above Chewy.
After submitting the post realise why those deleted files disappear after a week. I use Norton Works and set it to PURGE my protected files after 7 days. So I manually purge all the contents of my recycle bin protected and not and walah.....the files are gone and I gained 25gig pronto. Try it if you have Norton too and you see them disappear before your eyes. So LOCOENG was right about it being lying in the bin! Thanks mate!
