Uninstallation issues

I find this problem once in a while. Sometimes when I try to use the "Add / Remove Programs" feature of the Windows Control Panel, the program that I select to uninstall does not get removed.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do about this and how to prevent it?

Re-install and uninstall again, as the uninstall info has got mixed up.

Also make sure the program that you want to uninstall isn't running (check Task Manager) before uninstalling it

I got the same problem many times when a installer file of the program was damaged, corrupt or removed by another programs uninstaller as usually we hit the "yes to all" button during un-installation queries. Messages like, can't access file.... or file missing.... can't execute blah blah blah. Most times, the repair facility(if back-up file not deleted) or program re-installation correct it but in times that neither works There's is a windows support tools like the mscicuu.exe & msizap.exe that you have to install from the XP CD that can help you though you have to go deep into the registry to do this.
