UPDATE: Got the BTC last night...so far so good, looks to be everything I was looking for. Alot slimmer than I imagined, but functionally does what I want it to do. The illuminated keys are bright and quiet with short travel. No programming necessary, the hot keys worked right out of the box for email, internet and mulitmedia.

EDIT: Not that I have any need to use it, but the 5 key has the Euro symbol that I can't figure out how to make it work.

Does the keyboard have a dimmer?

Actually, I have been watching this thread with interest. I believe there may be an illuminated keyboard on the horizion for me as well.

I initially looked at the Saitek board, but went by Best Buy and hit the keys a few times and decided it was just as clunky as the keyboard I was using...The BTC board has a laptop feel to it, very nice action, easy to type with and best of all quiet.

              @ katz

There is no dimmer on this one only an on and off key combo...when in illumination mode the board shuts down automatically after a minute or two of inactivity. The more I use it the more I like it.

BTW...I've just been approved for an LCD monitor.

I would assume that the Creative Fatal1ty boards would be just as good, but I didn't like the black on white scheme...just seemed to be too much of a contrast.
