    Starting point for mod/backup

I know a lot of people have been asking every so often how to modify their systems in order to play backups. I have taken the liberty of providing some useful links to get people started. I would like to first start off by saying the best way to play backups on the 360 is to mod the firmware of the drive. Rather, then using a mod chip.

First Step- Find out what make of drive you have
    Look here

Second Step- Open the 360 and Flash Firmware

Third Step- Backup and Burn Game

You could get the SH-D162C or TS-H352C drive. But they have to be flashed with Kroens 0.81 Firmware, and The SH-D163A and TS-H353A flashed with kreons 0.80
    firmware. To read original discs.
    Burn with imgburn/Dvd Decrypter

Fourth Step- Put the system back together!

    Suggestions
Use Xbox backup Creator or schtrom to read original discs (Much like dvd Decrypter for 360) (Search Google for them)
    *USE BITSETTING WHEN BURNING DLs!
*Use Verbatim DVD DL +R only!!

I highly suggest browsing the xbox scene forums and xbox scene guide page. You'll find wonderful information and good guidance to help you through any process you desire. I always compare it to these forums as the best resource for Xbox/xbox 360 like these forums are the best for anything relating to digital video.

I don't suggest doing that. Order an SH-D162C or TS-H352C drive off ebay and flash it with Kroen Firmware version 0.81.
