When I start my computer Up I get This error at the welcome creen Application failed to initalize properly(0xc00000142)

And then when I get passed the welcome srcreen which dosen't happen most of the time I get this at my desktop screen.

Desktop is not accessible Insufficent system resources exist to complete the requested servic.

And the only way I know how to fix is by putting my system back to its factory settings but then when I turn of or restart it messes up.

Also may want to run virus and spyware scans. Spyware and viruses are notorious for eating up system resources.

wouldn't delete the virus/spyware scene I set computer back to factory settings or dose it stay with the system.Oh, and I don't think its a virus but I'll scan anyways.

Sorry for double post do I click normal Startup,diagnostic startup,Selective Startup.For the msconfig thing.

startup items are under startup(top right tab)

No resetting to factory will not delete the virus.

Click on the Startup Tab at the far right in msconfig the choices you mentioned are on the general tab.

don't screw around with half measures, uncheck all

if that fixes your problem try to think how you broke your computer and fix and later reanable startups you really need if any

Ok I unchecked all now im going to restart in safe mode but what is the culprit.

you'll have to find that out yourself, something you did? program added?

could even be hardware failing?

no need to go into safe mode if regular mode is working

Well I was installing a program called BlackIce Firewall and my computer just turned off.Could that have been the problem.

LoadBlackD: Blackd.exe
RapApp: RAPAPP.EXE
BlackICE Utility: Blackice.exe

These are the Startup items that Blackice installs. Re-enable them one at a time and see if one hoses your PC again.

Like Chewy said, you should be running your PC in regular mode now instead of Safe Mode.
