dvd drives have disapered

hi can any1 help please was installing some software on pc when it started back up dvd drives no longer there when i go into device manager it says that it can not load device drivers for this device and have a yellow exclmationmark buy them also says nn5247a rnh705m scsi cdrom device can not load device driver for this device can any help please what to do to get drives back on

1. try uninstalling that program
2. or system restore(using xp)?
