What did you use with DVD Shrink to burn? (Shrink can't burn, but can auto burn with one of these below)
Nero? ImgBurn? DVD Decrypter? your log is with whatever you used with Shrink.

have your other sony burns had that spike at the first of the burn?

            maybe your firmware is corrupt?

use cdspeed and another blank to burn a data disk and post the scan with the sony(no liteon) use a cheap blank, don't waste a Yuden

yes most of my other sony burns were on memorex and the spike was like 700-800 though. I was so oblivious to media quality so these 8x sony i got r supposed to be the best? i went back after work and got 2 more spindles

My best guess is the drive is defective, I had an older nec 3520 start to fail,
any burn got bad errors in the 3.5 gig range, even cleaning the guide rails for the laser assembly wouldn't fix it, it burned cd's fine
