Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When i was backing up a dvd which i own with (dvdshrink dvddecryptor and ripit4me) and making a copy of it, i have had a major crash twice, which caused me to loose system files, and i couldnt even boot the computer, since having done a complete fdisk and reinstall twice, can anyone help me as to what maybe causing the problem?

i'm tottaly lost with it it dosent seem to matter what type of dvd i back up, the problem seems to still occur.

i hope i havent broken any rules my mentioning certain words/methods/ programmes etc
