    WAV Audio Editor / Cutter

    Hi.

Dunno where else to ask this question.

Can members here recommend a good .WAV cutter editor, whether free or shareware / paid versions.

For example, I got this long 2 hr .WAV file & I just wanna get an extract from the middle lasting only about 10 mins or so.

    Cheers!

KISS, now called WAVster I have never used it, but it looks good/reviews sound good.

I use Goldwave, it has a very long trial period, works excellent.

There is also free audacity, but I have never been a big fan... I don't believe you are able to select the output file format; I believe it saves to audacity's own proprietary format, IIRC...

Audacity allows you to export as OGG MP3 or WAV.

        Hi Katz,

Q1: How did you come across the "KISS" software? BTW, they had also a ton of other freebies.

Q2: So what is the problem with IIRC? Since I am not that heavily into Audio!!!

        Thanks,
        G!

Google search for "free audio editor"

IIRC = "If I Recall Correctly"

Audacity's standard save format is "aup", their own file type; However, olyteddy pointed out this -
Audacity allows you to export as OGG MP3 or WAV.
if that is the case, I suppose that would be acceptable... I just like being able to choose the "save as" format, it is what I am used to.
