    HD home theater PC's

looks like they are coming of age

the newer amd 690G w/onboard video support vga/hdmi/dvi output and nvidia's new offering to compete by the end of the year?

you are not going to get state of the art gaming for 90$ tho

These should make for a very quiet/low heat HTPC, with solid HD playback, for a very attractive price. Add in a low cost CPU, some RAM, a big hard drive, and then perhaps the most expensive component, the Blu-ray/HD DVD drive, and a nice HTPC that plays everything for less than the cost of a PS3 (here in Australia, anyway).

If you go with something like the GeForce 8500/8600 or Radeon HD 2400/2600 with a passive heat sink, you can still get a quiet system with basic/low res gaming added in.
