    USB to Serial Converter

I have a NEWlink USB to Serial converter.

Switching on the computer (XP) I get "New Hardware Found" and the wizard starts up but eventually cannot find a driver. No software came with this device. I want to use it to program my walkie-talkies.

    Can anyone help ? Please.

    Thanks in advance

Unzip this file into a folder on your PC. When Windows XP
prompts for a driver, do not let it search automatically, tell it to
use a specific location. Point it to the directory you have
unzipped this to. The INF file located in this directory, points
the operating system to use the Windows 2000 driver located in
the Win2K subdirectory. The machine may prompt for a reboot
and when it boots back up it may ask for the driver again. The
device should be listed in the device manager under the ports
heading. It will list which COM port that it is loaded as.
