I've had people telling me elsewhere that I should get a MAC because they claim a MAC is more secure than a PC, are they correct?

With cross platforming now allowed on MACs, it will be up to the user's preference.
I prefer PCs but only because all of my software is for PC. I would hate to have to buy it twice because I changed platforms.
About security.... both suck!Gary D

Linux would be the "most secure" at this point, as far as virus/spy/malware/user error in general.
The file system is locked down in a different manor than windows, not allowing the novice user to get in & muck up settings willy nilly. You have to gain permissions using a password/security system, & at that point most users are experienced enough to be making changes.
that is, if you are able to get it to recognize all of your devices. YMMV, each system is different.
It's a bit more technical than my explanation, but you would need a Linux user more experienced than I to explain it to you.Comment
