    I think that 3 ohms might be a little low.

      The 3 ohms is fine but on the 12 volt side I am measuring 92.5 ohms, looks like the H/D may be toast.

        Thanks Doc.....Am a learner with multimeters as well, so will double/triple check that before attempting to connect to anything.......

            I have a cessena kit back in the old Heathkit building days. And also have around 5 or 6 .049 u-control airplanes.

            What I do is, I have a couple of old AT styple power supplies that I use for testing. For example to see if the hard drive is bad. All I do is just connect the hard drive to the power supply and see what happens. That way I can determine if the h/d actually has a power problem. I meaure the voltage at the power connector at the h/d.

              This forum may not be exactly the right place for models, but mine are a bit bigger....
