    PDF Files & Adobe Acrobat

my pc originally came w/adobe acrobat v. 6.0. i don't have it anymore. whether i gutted it out during my power user transformation, or not, is a mood point. i've read several posts, and a couple mention it as a resource hog which i want no part of. it hasn't affected any video work, and i don't have a printer, so the only thing it prevents me from doing is viewing certain pages on web sites.

is there any sure fire reason that i should download any acrobat reader? i'm sticking to if it ain't broke don't fix it.

the free acrobat reader went all to heck a few years ago, my older version that I use 5.1 is buggy but not filled with ads or much bloat, I didn't like 6 and downgraded

I use mine all the time for web pages and keep IE and Firefox plugins updated

I use Foxit reader for viewing PDF files.

It is free and I have had no problems with it at all.

I have version 8.1.1,but never look at how much resources it is using. This version seems to be stable.
