Vista NFO problem

I can't open NFO files with my new vista actually I can't open alot of things but,1 at a time I'm fixing it but,this one has me stumped.It says "Windows can not open this NFO it is corrupt or an unrecognized type" but,I open it in XP fine.??I know it's not corrupt so why can't Vista open?? Almost forgot diz files also but,as I stated they open fine in XP.

Jblitz, Try this:

1. Browse to the NFO file on your computer

2. Right-click on the file and click Open With

(If you are given several options in the menu here, select Choose Program...)

3. Select Notepad under Other Programs

(In Vista you might need to actually click the Other Programs drop down arrow on the right of the Open With window)

4. Make sure that Always use the selected program to open this kind of file is checked.

5. Click OK

thanks Kev I edited must have been too late for you to see I got it exactly what you said.after that prob was the pdf thing and I had to install acrobat.I'm getting up to par slowly but surely
