I think it's amazing that Microsoft has had so much bad publicity over the RROD issue, and yet, Xbox 360s are still flying off the shelves at a 2:1 ratio to the PS3. It just shows that superior games, not superior hardware, sell consoles.

And if you speak to most people who have had their console repaired, none of them would give up the 360 for the PS3.

I have nothing against the 360 personally.I posted this because when I had the PS2 I caught a lot of crap from Xbox users about how poorly built the PS2 was.I just wanted to make the point that Sony isn't the only company that knowingly puts out a flawed product to compete with competitors to get the edge to make the mighty buck.Hell even the PS2 got bad publicity from the DRE's.I had no sympathy for Sony what so ever, it was their own fault for cutting corners. I have no sympathy for Xboxs bad press on RROD either, they brought it on them selves for rushing it out just so they could be the first next gen console out in the stores.

I had stopped console gaming right after the SNES, and didn't pick it up again until the recent generation, so I wasn't really aware of the events during the PS2/Xbox years. Sounds like the PS2 has it's fair share of problems, but in the end, it doesn't matter because the content is good. Just like the 360.

I guess that's the same with Blu-ray as well - not the best for consumers, but they've got the movies that people want so people will overlook regions and DRM.
