every straw you remove from the camel's back just helps

the samsung ide burners are fairly reliable, right now pioneer's are not

fairly often we find where a power supply is getting weak and keeps you from burning,
usually at faster speeds first since the laser has to use more power

monitoring your voltage rails(5 and 12) is a good idea?

sometimes it's a bad cable as the guides mention

I fixed the DMA issue and I was able to complete a successful burn but at the lowest speed of 8X, which isn't too much of a problem. It also took awhile for the burner to recognize the new disk, just have a feeling the burner is on its way out but for now at least it is working. Thanks for your help...

In the meantime I will start the search for a replacement.

hi zvolen. heed to the suggestions about burners as much as possible. from experience like i mentioned, and from what others have experienced, along w/chewy's suggestion, i'd stay away from pioneers 4 now anyway. i'm totally satisfied w/my signature sammies.
        SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

Take the suggestions and follow the directions. The results will speak for themselves.
