try the quick solution, a dvd burn at 8x should take about 15 minutes and your drive should play disks fine

      Choppy Video Playback

Chewy, you are truely amazing. That fixed my problem. I put a dvd that I recently burned in the drive and it worked perfectly, just like the day I bought it. What would cause my drive to revert back to PIO anyway. I briefly read what was on the link you sent me, but I wondered if you had any ideas?

I've got another question for you. I use DVDFabHD Decrypter 4 to decrypt my dvd's but it takes about an hour and a half to two hours to decrypt before I can use shrink. Shrink goes fairly quickly, and then burning took a while also (hopefully going back to DMA will change that). Any ideas on how to make Decrypter run faster? Thanks for the help

I have had to edit your post and issue a warning earlier, these rule 19 violations
are serious and not to be taken lightly, what part of no don't you understand.
