    Email links wont open in thunderbird mail...

    It used to;

    I changed nothing that I know of, but yesterday suddenly it stopped working. For example, if I click on the email address in a craigslist item, the "compose to" box USED to pop up & I would write the email & be on my merry way.

    But NOW, when I click on any email address on any site, the "compose" box does not open. Any ideas?

    UPDATE!
    This didn't take long! I found the fix. Thought I would post the link in case other experience the same issue. Funny thing is, it changed on its' own, I hadn't made any changes to the system for awhile...oh well...something about the Leopard Seal...

      katzdvd, which Linux distro are you currently using? How has it been treating you?
      I'm curious since I haven't installed a distro in a few years and the Linux landscape keeps changing.

        Gutsy Gibbon - 7.10 / Ubuntu Studio
        It has worked pretty well for me; it never crashes or hangs. I guess my main complaint would be what every "ex-windows" user goes thru;
        Since it is largely CLI, things are handled differently, in a manner that I am not accustomed to.

        Takes a bit of getting used to, and the different names for files
        can be confusing, etc. I really haven't taken the time to properly learn all the "ins & outs" of everything. I just use it as it is, &
        when I encounter a problem, I search for a solution.

        I will say that most of my problems in the initial linux thread on
        here stemmed from the 64 bit vers. of the OS. It was very buggy at that time, & the problems just added to my confusion in not knowing what to do about it. If I would've started off with the
        32 bit vers. things would have went much smoother.

        I plan on staying with it; For most windows apps, there is an equivalent avail. on linux, & most for free. I should
        probably update the linux thread with my progress... All in all I'm happy with it. Probably won't return to windows. Not running any antivirus/malware/etc software at this time...

          That's one thing I'm curious about is the 64 bit support. I did get to try the ext3 file system for a while. I like that a lot. I guess I have so much time programming PC/Dos/Windows that it's tough to abandon it. I did get to mess around with a desktop Vax computer and the Assembler for the Vax CPU is very similar to Intel 80x86 so I could debug my C programs right away. I wish I had a couple of those to mess with.
