    MPEG2 problem.

    Hi There,

    1/2 year ago i bought myself a Sony HDR-SR7 (hi-def HD cam)

I could recored in HD quality but for the moment i don't, and use the SD quality (MPEG2)

I transfer the MPEG2 movies with USB to my PC.

If i play them with the included software ( sony picture browser) the movie looks just fine.

If i open the same movie With VLC player, Nero Showtime, Media Player Clasic, etc etc. The movie is shattered (it is not that smooth)

I have a Compaq D530 With 1gb Ram (defaul onboard grapic card)

My computer is not the problem, because i have played the same MPEG2 files on my laptop DELL latitude D630 (w2k) 2gb ram, default onboard Grapic card.

And the MPEG2 is shattered as well.

Even when i import the movie into Premiere, vegas, pinacle and export it, the source was shattered and the out comming result is even worse

Do i need an Hardware MPEG2 encoder / decoder card for it to have the same "smooth" image, the same as when i connect the cam to my TV ?

thank you very much for any information.

can u post a sample image, maybe a codec issue ?
try powerdvd ultra trial, i know u record in SD but just incase thers some embedded data in the video.
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

      Thank you Atifsh

Please grap the files from the following location.

(Today i reinstalled my whole system, the picture is a little bit better but still not perfect)

When the cam moves then the movie is unviewable, ( because of the "very fast" shacking )
On my TV the shots looks very good ( no shattering at all )

Could it be that it has something to do with interlace ?
This morning i have tested it with vegas, and premiere pro, if i set the source as an incorrect interlace than it really shackes !!
