    Any DVD Burner Recommendations?

Just wondering what people recommend, or more importantly DON'T recommend for DVD burners. My current DVD+/-RW is just plain old and doesn't read some of the newer DVDs.

    Any suggestions on a replacement?

We prefer PIONEERS burners because their firmware updates are so easily located.

If you find a brand, you might check out their website and see if you can locate that model's firmware updates easily. That's a good way to choose - all burners can use firmware updates at some point in their life, and the manufacturers that make this easier are the good ones.

One additional rule when you decided about some writer models is to do a search on the net if someone has posted a scanning of the media you are going to use with such a writer.

Even nice writers don't like all media brands.
