burning a youtube video.

Can someone tell me how I would do this?

Need to save the video on my hard drive 1st I assume,
convert to mpeg then burn so as to play on any set top player.

I know you can d/l some applications like tubehunter that will do it but wondering if I can do this with normal arsenal of copy/burn softwares that I use daily..

When I posted I did not know how to do what I was asking.
3hrs later I was able to do it.

I only answered my own post so no one needed to reply.

below are 2 free programs that I just used in order to burn a youtube video after saving it to hard drive.
Not the only ones around but fairly easy as before yesterday I had no idea how to save and burn a video off of youtube.

this free software will grab a youtube video file to store on your hard drive.[not the link but the actuall .flv or .ftv file.
you just copy/paste the url into the program called youtube downloader, it goes to youtube, pulls the file and you choose where on your hardrive.
Converts video for Ipod, Iphone, PSP, Cell Phone, Windows Media, XVid and MP3

Media encoder, another free software will convert this propriatory file exst or others into the usual..avi,mpeg4, wmv etc and a slew I never knew existed..
pretty large program...36 meg or more..

Aaah, penny drops here - "youtube downloader" and "media encoder" are actually the 2 progs cynthia linked to named youtubedownload and mediacoder. I thought you were talking about what the software does (i.e. its generic functionality), which I why I asked for specifics in post 3.

For conversion, you could also consider SUPER, MeGUI and AVIDemux.
