all of them are safe to get rid of, rubby ducky has probably one of the best antimalware/crapware teams assembled anywhere, I kind of expect one of the major players to buy them up soon
malware has evolved to the point it's looking for crapware to hide behindLast edited by Chewy; 20 Apr 2008, 03:13 AM.Comment

Yes, re CTFMon, you gotta disable the advanced text input (or whatever it's called) from language and regional options and then kill the process from starting. It is totally useless for the majority of users and a waste of resources. Haven't had it on for 2 years.
If you wanna see what consumes the time in startup, get BootVis.

COM crap
Step 3: Run Regsvr32 /U on the Msimtf.dll and Msctf.dll Files
These registered COM servers keep loading it in even if you purge it
from auto starting. It's more convenient if you have one of those
registry hacks that lets you right click on a COM server to register
or unregister it. Saves typing in the regsvr32 command line.
If you google you can find one.Comment
