If you like shell extensions another alternative is Ultimate Zip

When using it in the normal way there's a nag screen. But for rar files,
set the Options=>Configuration=>Explorer Shell Extension and check
Extract To Here. Then you can drag & drop the first rar file with the
right mouse button to extract it in another folder. There's no nag
screen on the shell extension.

If a rar file is missing the pop up error dialog is in German but it's
not difficult to figure out what the error is.

somtimes they are double rared/zipped.....

Are these individual rar files or are you talking about a large download that's broken up into a series name001.rar name002.rar etc?? Hard for us to guess what you've got.
