What is the difference 16MB and 32 MB Cache

I am looking at buying an additional hard drive for my back up files.

I am looking at these two Seagate's 500 GB but I do not know which is best.

Same price really when you consider one has free shipping and the other does not.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank You

there's only a hair performance difference in the 32 meg part as it bursts accross the interface faster till the extra 16 megs empties a few milliseconds

So really it's a trivial of which drive based on what most of us here at the forum use our computers for.

Price did not seem an issue, I just did not understand which was best. I guess 32MB would be good?

      Thank You

          Thanks!

Chewy, I always value your input. The 32 it will be.
