    Download Missing Help?

    Hi all,

I recentyl downloaded a file 500mb to a location on my hard drive when the down load had finished i went to open up the folder to my horro the file is there? Now this file as its quite large as you can image has take a few hours to download so really annoyed about. Has anyone got any ideas where my file could be as it seems it did download as it said download successful.

I've never expierenced this problem before although this is the first time i've downloaded a file since upgrading to windows Vista home premium is this a know issue with vista? Any help will be appreciated as don't want to have to spend hours downloading again if it can be helped.

Did you use any download manager to download the file ? Why don't you use the "Search" function using the name of the file?

Hi sorry was in a bit of a hurry when i wrote this post! I used bitlord download manager to download this file and if i look at the properties window in bitlord the file is showing up in the tree structure although when i try to access them it say the path is unrecognised.

Same story with the search function when i tried to search no files are founds. Just find this wierd as the program i used to download the file can see them although i can't navigate to them! Any ideas?

No worries i've found the folder it wasn't visable until i clicked on show compatability folders. Just getting used to Vista's quirks i guess. Thanks for the thoughts though!

Sorry JB, but that's technically a P2P application and since we no longer have a forum for that, long ago and far away, we really shouldn't be trying to support it.
