Vista or XP?

I am using vista in my laptop and found very weak performance than Xp . So i am planning to change it to Xp. So please give your valuable opinions.

upgrade memory.... atleast 2 gb, dual core and faster disk will make it better

In my opinion Vista way is better because its more faster and better security and most secure than Xp.
