Well I am confused to say the least since all this used to work with the computers and your ISP, maybe it's a combination of more than one thing. I had some wireless router issues(signal strength) that aggrevated slow web pages.

Last week I replaced the ethernet cable. I put in a 25 foot cable. Could that cause it? My connection crawls as it is. I have a max speed of 1.5 ...

ethernet cat5 cable length limit is only 350 ft or so.

interference from electrical cables is another matter, ballasts in florestent fixtures etc

However, it is notable that the service has been questioned for its slow speeds

It was a brand new cable. I need that length though. Is there a brand that won't give me problems?

Are you sure it wasn't the route and something interfering?

If it runs parrallel to an electrical cable?

I would take it back and try another one first
