connecting two,work from one

Been a little while since I've worked on my system.Put in a ethernet system(cat5e).would like to run programs that access my Cd player at my secondary system while working at my main.They are 25-30 ft apart.any thing out there that might help?

If you have set up a home network, use the wizard and enable file and printer sharing then open my computer on the other computer and share that cd drive
