My PS3 won't read discs anymore. Was playing Memento Blu-ray and it started freezing up. Doing a soft reset, the PS3 now won't read anything, not even DVDs (disc is inserted but it isn't spinning at all).
Then I read this:
And I do have 2.42 installed.
Looks like I'll have to go through the 5-7 week Sony tech support system to get this problem fixed, wish I hadn't installed the 2.42 firmware though. My PS3 is still under warranty, but those without it will be charged $150!
