I am guessing that it will be just as bad as Vista is, or maybe even worst.Star Baby Girl, Born March,1997 Died June 30th 2007 6:35 PM.Comment

if ppl still doesnt change their old systems then yes it will suck even more....
windows 7 will be same UI as vista [with tweaks] may get GPU acceleration.
now lets see.... microsoft once tried to tweak win98 code to make it better and they comeup with ME, which was in my opinion was a sucess, but had some other problems that doomed it.
now ppl said vista is other ME, but for me if anything would be closer to ME it will be windows 7. but we maynot get another failure this timeSeems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!Comment

Windows seven is supposed to be sleeker and more streamlined than Vista, meaning less resources needed and better file managment and more user friendly.

There is really tons of information out there for the next gen of Vista and I'm looking forward to giving it a shot.
EDIT: I know it's a bit of a dated article...
The most concrete news to come out of Microsoft Corp.'s well-executed leak of a few sparse details about the next version of Windows is that it will continue to come in both 32- and 64-bit editions.Last edited by locoeng; 30 Oct 2008, 07:52 AM.

some newer news bout windows 7....
Bluetooth 2.1
Bluetooth 2.1 new stack is natively present in Windows 7. It has faster discovery and easier pairing process
Codecs
Windows 7 will have native support for DIVX, XVID, x264 and other popular codecs. If a target device does not support a codec, Windows 7 will transcode it
Open Window Memory Usage (memory consuption is independent of how many open windows )
The amount of memory used by open windows on your desktop is linear. In Windows 7 the memory usage stays the same, by letting only the Video Card manage that memory and not both (Vista)
Boot time
Windows 7 desktop was much faster available than Vista. In Windows 7, device drivers are loaded in parallel and not serial, also services are started on demandSeems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!Comment

Put it this way. When people bought a PC with Vista, they faced all kinds of problems because their older software wasn't supposed by Vista. Now more software is working for Vista, Microsoft want to release another Windows so that people have to go through that same charade again where they finally got plenty of software for Vista that won't work with the new Windows. Microsoft never brought out another Windows that soon. They also bring them out during an experimental stage the way they did with the XBox 360 and look what happened to that console, it always overheated until an Intercooler was made and released. The sort of thing with Windows, Microsoft never test them 100% and problems occur even when compatible software for whatever Windows is installed.
Bill Gates got to be the richiest man on this planet and he never did get Windows to work properly. I know he's gone from Microsoft.
The other problem with a new Windows is, if somebody buys any hardware near before the new Windows is released, their software won't work. Any of us can buy new software that can no longer work and it's like being ripped-off by that software and worse with hardware that needs an installation disc because hardware (depending on what it is) costs more than software alone. Microsoft should make everything compatible before releasing the next. They can do it, as we all know, it's called computer programming the way other companies have to make their software compatible for all Windows at a later date and it costs those companies money all because Microsoft are too lazy and tight to do it themselves when they are the ones that cause the whole mess every time.
Microsoft brag saying the new Windows is better with more and better security tools. Why buy a new Windows as an upgrade for that when we can get the same with different pieces of software? I say they can keep the new Windows because Vista is pointless to me.
Microsoft are idiots that cause us hassle and cost us money for upgrades that is software and hardware that we already own but if we can't convert to make them compatible, we have to buy the software and hardware again that we already own. I said hardware as well because don't forget and I'm sure so many of you won't, some hardware needs a disc to install the hardware.Last edited by dazuk1972; 15 Nov 2008, 02:48 PM.Comment

somebody gotup on wrong side of the bed
some hardware needs a disc to install the hardware.
every hardware needs driver [software] to work, even if u dont need that cd, its software builtin the OS that installs it.Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!Comment
