    LCD Monitor and RCA

    Hello,

I have a question that I hope you all can help me answer.

I have a 24in LCD monitor with a DVI and VGA output.

I am wanting to connect my Playstation up to my monitor. But I don't want to spend $100+ to do so. (i.e. I don't want to use AVerMedia TVBox 9 because it cost soo much.)

    So I found on Amazon.com a VGA to RCA + S-video cable (amazon.com/NEW-CONVERTER-S-VIDEO-CABLE-ADAPTER/dp/B0012FS9M8/ref=pd_cp_e_2)

Now theoretically, in my mind at least, this would work because I would hook the VGA end into my monitor and the S-video or RCA end into my Playstation.

But then again that is only my speculation. I am wonder what you guys think. Will this work?

    Thank you for your input.

Okay, my LCD monitor is a View sonic Q20WB. I was wondering how I could adjust the contrast and brightness I cant seem to find what is best for it sRGB, 9300k, 7500k, 6500k, 5400k. I use my monitor for ps3 gaming and watching TV on it. What would be the perfect setting for my LCD monitor? Any help will be most welcome. Thank you.
