    Ram prices way down.

about 2/half yrs ago I bought a 2 gig ram chip memory kit from Crucial.com.
I think it was 134.00 per stick or 268.00 total.

I recently bought another 2 gig kit from them.
same PC 3200 sticks. same manufacturer number.

    this time, 34.00 each...
Couldn't believe memory prices had dropped so much..

the 2 ram chips I replaced were old 256 kit..512 ram all together.
not even worth selling on ebay..
    about 6 bucks maybe..

I remember when all you could get was 640k of memory. At a cost of $350. Times have really changed.

And a NECv20 which was a 20MhZ CPU for the IBM AT/XT, and that was screaming. Which I still have 1 in my office closet with a 20meg hard drive.

How about the TSR-80(or affectionately known as Trash-80) from Radio Shack. Beside punch cards, that is what I learn on for programming classes.

ohoh. I think newegg saw rago's post.

My PC3200 2GB Gskill kit just went to $64.99 (up $10 from last week)

Still a good deal compared to $268.00

@doc In school I actually wanted to buy a PET computer. I thought "Basic was the future" lol
