    Question over Meaning of Warnings In Virusscan Results

    I've have Avira AntiVir Personal, and after a scan-with no viruses detected, there were 2 warnings posted in the scan results. Here's a copy and paste..

    Starting to scan the registry.
    The registry was scanned ( '68' files ).

    Starting the file scan:

    Begin scan in 'C:\' <HP_PAVILION>
    C:\hiberfil.sys
    [WARNING] The file could not be opened!
    C:\pagefile.sys
    [WARNING] The file could not be opened!
    C:\System Volume Information\_restore{106CF321-99A3-4E3A-9103-1BD027606A99}\RP189\A0095150.exe
    [0] Archive type: ZIP SFX (self extracting)
    --> WINDOWS6.0-KB929547-V2-X64.MSU
    [1] Archive type: CAB (Microsoft)
    --> Windows6.0-KB929547-v2-x64.cab
    [WARNING] No further files can be extracted from this archive. The archive will be closed
    Begin scan in 'D:\' <HP_RECOVERY>

    End of the scan: Saturday, January 31, 2009 20:44
    Used time: 1:24:37 Hour(s)

    The scan has been done completely.

    11587 Scanning directories
    710991 Files were scanned
    0 viruses and/or unwanted programs were found
    0 Files were classified as suspicious:
    0 files were deleted
    0 files were repaired
    0 files were moved to quarantine
    0 files were renamed
    2 Files cannot be scanned
    710989 Files not concerned
    17599 Archives were scanned
    7 Warnings
    0 Notes
    I was wondering what those 2 files are that couldn't be opened?

    that's just hibernate and swap file, they are locked for system use when needed

    My antivirus found it in C:\System Volume Information\_restore{106CF321-99A3-4E3A-9103-1BD027606A99}\RP257\. And it said the file name is A0021728.exe.
    do you have an infected restore point or avira just can't scan them?
