What is annoying is, when we want to play a PS3 game for the first time we have to install some data in the hard drive as if we're installing a PC game in the PC. I bought Brothers In Arms that took-up 2GB's of my PS3 hard drive.
I was wondering, would my Friends List, Mail and Trophies be saved in my PS3 hard drive or would it saved on the internet like Yahoo and Google save Mail and Bookmarks on their servers for us?
When I have to upgrade my hard drive for a bigger one it's annoying enough that I would have to back-up all my game plays to a memory stick, re-install parts of all my games and copy my game plays into the new hard drive.
So many people run down the XBox 360 but at least we can load games in the XBox 360 without using-up so much hard drive for one thing. I hope the PS3 doesn't get a moment where we have to upgrade our RAM etc like a PC for newer games. We have to remember, the PS3 is a games console not a PC but why did Sony make the PS3 so stupid in some ways.
Please let me know what's what because I'm new to the PS3 and I feel like a major data headache is coming. Why couldn't Sony have made the game thing in the PS3 like the way Microsoft did for the XBox 360 where we don't have to install parts of a game. The Xbox 360 first-time-game-play is better because what we play is running from the DVD-ROM only, not parts from the hard drive as well that the PS3 does.
Many thanks.
