    Plug-ins for Windows Media Player

I’m trying to play a DVD on my computer with Windows Media Player and I’m getting the following message:

    DVD Playback Options for Windows
If you are running the Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Enterprise, or Windows XP operating system on your computer, you might need to install a compatible DVD decoder (also known as a MPEG-2 decoder) before continuing with the following activities.
    • Playing a DVD
    • Playing a recorded TV show
    • Playing video files that were encoded with the MPEG-2 codec (.mpeg, .mpg, and some .avi files)

To purchase a compatible DVD decoder, visit Plug-ins for Windows Media Player.

This same DVD works on two other computers using WMP without any adjustments, what am I missing?

    Thanks, John

VLC Media Player is good. Just make sure you read some guide or notes on installation before completing the setup or it'll snatch all your video n music files n lead to some conflicts w/other software you might use.
        SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

Take the suggestions and follow the directions. The results will speak for themselves.

        Google is definitely our friend.
