I tried IE8 and I got problems with it so I downgraded back to IE7. I also remember Yahoo's IE having more problems years ago where it blocked me from my FTP account.Comment

Same here and I will loose features. I have at&t dsl. I guess that I am going to wait to upgrade then. Looks like when IE6 came out.Last edited by doctorhardware; 1 Apr 2009, 01:07 PM.Star Baby Girl, Born March,1997 Died June 30th 2007 6:35 PM.Comment

Well doesn't this beat all. I like to run Microsoft's Live Onecare scan with the online scanner from time to time because it does help.
It told me that my browser or OS was not supported (IE8). So I rolled back to IE7 and works great.

Is this the "Only" Online Scanner that you use ... or you try some others!?!?
Q1: If so, which one would you say is the Best!?!? Or Better?
Q2: How long does it take to run the Live Onecare?
Thanks,

I only have done Onecare. It runs about 45 minutes on average with my 32 bit system.
Might be quicker for you at 64 BIT. IDK
Try it. I like the way it just goes through a variety. I still use Malwarebytes and Avast as well.

I would be surprised.
It loads the scanner to your PC and it is your choice to upload the results.
I think it looks for errors rather than software etc.
Used it since before Vista was in beta. I have had no concerns. I do know it is not as thorough as others, but it's a nice tool. It's IE8 funny won't run it. LOL

I'm starting to consider IE8, but I just spent ~20 min on the phone getting them to clarify the FAQ. It says if you install IE8, your favorites from IE7 will be migrated. But it says nothing about IE6, which is what I'm running on both my XPH & my W2KP systems. They say the IE6 favs will also migrate, but I was too exhausted to ask them about cookies & form/PW lists. Anybody know? And if I eventually uninstall 8, will 6 work the way I left it?
BTW @womble
It's good to know that's the reason my browsers have been getting progressively slower. I suspected that list was getting bloated, but I never got around to researching it. Thanks!Comment

I'm glad others have found this useful as that was one of my intents.

Hi folks,
I am STILL on IE7 and Refuse to Budge ... Microsoft Update tries to PUSH down the IE8 on me but I have NOT done it yet.
I might look at IE8 after a year or so ... and when most Programmers and Freewares work in the IE8 stuff.
