Adobe Reader 9.1 install Error 1935

I've been trying to install Adobe Reader 9.1 on a friend's recently built Vista based machine, and it keeps on giving me this error message:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component.

    {98CB24AD-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}.
    HRESULT: 0x8007054F.

Upon researching this, I've tried almost everything including using fsutil, creating a new Vista user account, and even tried installing the older 8 version. None of it work.

I did eventually find a solution, and it was to download and install Foxit Reader, which I admit I should have done so anyway regardless of whether Adobe Reader installs or not:

The best free PDF reader & viewer used by over 700 million users. Download Foxit PDF Reader for Windows, Mac, Android & more today!

Thanks but no thanks Adobe, to your crappy installer and bloatware.

Hmmm that talk of "assembly component" makes me think it went .NET. For what it's worth the error msg string yields "an internal error has occurred." Wasn't that helpful? heh heh

Yeah, small & fast Foxit works for me.
