    Hi Pamie,

Please give us a little more info to go by ... like your PC model, your Motherboard, Video Card info and OS (Operating System) ... so the folks here can help you.

But if you are on XP do these before trying anything ...

    1) Before you start messing around with your Video Card stuff if you can Set-up a "RESTORE POINT" ... and do not delete anything ...

    2) Find the Drivers that came with your PC originally and reinstall them.

BTW, updating Drivers for Video Cards is not always the solution since there might be some conflicts with Hardware and Newer Games.

But if #2 fails I guess you can update your Graphic Card "Drivers" from the Manufacturer of your card. Don't use some other driver ... or you might be asking for more trouble than it is worth it. Be sure to go to their Website and Forums and ask the Q again they might have a better solution.

Also you might have to Upgrade your Videocard Chipset drivers.

Problem with Games playing usually is associated with not having ...
    A) the correct version of Video Crad Drivers (& Chipset Drivers)
    B) Your DirectX it might be Old.

BTW, most current DirectX from Micorsoft it can be found here ...

Hope this helps for the time being.
