freeware to set default 'edit' app for file type

Just found out Vista(and for now I'm assuming W7 is the same) no longer has the XP option in OpenWith to change the default editor for a file type. This can provoke unpleasant surprises when you expect to edit a script and it runs instead!!! Anyway, I found an article pointing to a free program on Source Forge that sets these file associations. The program is called Types and requires .NET 2.0 or later. But Vista/W7 should have that by default.

I always have had to install Net separately in my Vista computer.

Guess the pre-installed is a different beast. For .NET 2.0 a small run-time download should do the trick. That's what I used when I first started using FAVC.
