Comodo firewall is still one of the best, once you learn how to use it(configure)

Hi Chewy. What I meant was I never had them both on my build except when this issue came up and I ran a couple of xtra av's to make sure I had no viruses etc... I didn't take the complete suggestion of removing any av proggies b4 installing M$ Essentials. I just deactivated avira. I guess either through a reboot or on its own it came on and both went bonkers.

Now I know 4 a fact that if I want to chuck IE 8 on my 1st build w/xp home that a clean install is the way to go. Read many posts through Google that a repair and/or uninstall is not really best option and may still cause issues. Correct?

I knew to leave it alone. I went w/the hype, and besides I have 7 32 n 64 bit on my other 2 pc's and they automatically come w/IE 8. You live n learn. As much as things change as much they remain the same. M$ till this day have just not come through w/a non buggy/issue piece of software since the beginning. They wait mostly always until the next os is ready to finally fix the previous one. Hence xp home sp3.

Now can having IE 8 installed even though you never use it really still cause issues?
      SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

Take the suggestions and follow the directions. The results will speak for themselves.

      Google is definitely our friend.
