Downgrade firmware on Sansa Fuze MP3 Player

Okay, I am trying to downgrade firmware on Sansa Fuze MP3 Player so I can use an application (Rockbox) on it. Trying to go from Vers. 2 to 1. I have been told that it is not possible to revert to an earlier firmware.

This seems odd, since you can pretty much go any way you want on firmware w/ other devices, burners, hard drives, mobo/bios, etc.

Anyone have any experience with this? Ideas?

Disregard - After more research, I found that it cannot be done. V1/V2 refer to hardware changes, & the newer Fuze will not run Rockbox. A hack is in the works....
