Sims 2 Deluxe Crashes My PC

I had a PC that ran Windows XP and Sims 2 Deluxe worked fine and I had no issues. Then the hard drive on my computer stopped working (not related to Sims) so I lost all my files. After replacing my hard drive, my computer was working fine again after installing all my drivers, and reinstalling Windows XP. I decided I wanted to play Sims 2 Deluxe so I inserted the disk and after a few seconds my computer crashed and seemed to begin to start up again, but would never fully restart, it would always reboot a little, and then crash again, but once I took the CD out, the computer would restart fully and would continue working fine. Im using the same computer and drivers that Sims 2 was working with before I replaced my hard drive.

First, sorry but I have no answer but I am interested in something that you mentioned. Was Sims 2 released by Electronic Arts on dehalf of Sold Out? I'm asking because I bought Flight Unlimited 3 and during installation it told me to disable my Anti-Virus and I did and then after installation and rebooting, my PC crashed so bad it was fatal. What happened, somehow parts of all my software was missing and including Windows XP. I decided the only way out was a format and I couldn't even do that because my formatting software also had parts deleted. I had to get a new hard drive. I'm not dsying you need a new hard drive, I hope you don't, I'm only interested in if the game was made by Electronic Arts. I had a massive arguement with those people after their game wrecked my PC and they should do something right now if Sims 2 was made by them because I wonder what other games they have that are as bad. It's as if they are selling games with viruses in.
