Registry Question

I was looking in my registry tonight for my key code for a program which I have purchased. I found the key and would like to copy the key and put it away in case of computer hard drive failure.
The key is a really long key code. I have maximized the size of the string and pulled all the categories name etc to the far left.

The key code is still too long to be able to read the whole key.
What would I have to do to be able to see the whole key code so that I can copy it.

Import, Export I haven't got a clue how to copy this or be able to read it all.
I would very much appreciate your help

Worked like a charm. I wasn't sure whether I was to use either Import or Export. I didn't have a clue.

I wasn't sure whether key New , binary string or any of the options in the drop down box would work. I don't have a clue what they are for either.

In which case would I use Import?

I would assume so. I just have just double clicked the saved file and it put it where it needs to go in the past.

I imagine both will work until I am told otherwise.

Don't understand that.
Do you mean it would put it where it needs to go in the registry?

I was asking When would I use Import. or what is Import for.

Please have patience with me now as I am trying to learn this correctly.

I usually do a copy and past to a text file and the save as(what ever name you want). I have a folder called my documents that I save stuff like that. Then make several disks.

Do you copy and paste it from the registry or from the export of the registry?

Mine was too long to even read from the registry and I could not copy and paste from the registry.

Yes you have to use the registry export function, then use copy and past to a word file.
