Well, I down loaded the newest IE. I have been using for the last several days and so far I have had no issues with it. It is a lot faster. Just have to get use to the new layout of the screen.

Agreed on the speed. Nice new crisp layout.
Every time I try to change the settings in the yahoo toolbar, IE crashes.
It seems like they are trying to resemble Google Chrome.
If you miss the menu bar, use the ALT key to toggle. No way to keep on all the time as of this beta release.

I'm using google chrome dev channel. The silent updates are neat as long as nothing breaks. I'm waiting for a 64 bit version. In Firefox I tend to have four times the number of extensions. I'm assuming 64 bit will break them, but I don't know how that scripting stuff works with the AddOns. Chrome is screeming fast at 32 bit. I'd love to see what 8 64 bit processes would run like(assuming the 64 bit flash actually works now.)
I see old posts from last year about 64 bit chrome "any day now" as vaporware goes.
I'm reluctant to use anything IE based since I got burned by a Browser Helper Object(BHO) a few years ago. But I never did like the "zones" for security levels and all that. If I'm paranoid I'd rather just run the browser Sandboxed.
I am actually a bit surprised. The only real problem, other than some sites not rendering well, with the dev channel versions is losing favicons and getting dupes when syncing bookmarks. I switched back to beta channel for awhile until it got fixed. The only way I can tell what version I'm running is to look in the about box because the updates aren't noticeable at all. Way smoother than FF.Last edited by MilesAhead; 19 Sep 2010, 02:58 AM.Comment
