Xbox 360 Kinect is the Bomb!

As a newcomer to gaming, and virtually no experience w/the Wii, or PS3 Slim, which I own and haven't played a game with, I got to experience the Kinect w/my cousin this last week. I must say it is the most incredible Gaming experience I ever had bar none. For a 1st time user except for the old Atari etc... from way back, it blew me away. It's very accurate and entertaining. Ttytt it's also a real workout. I bowled, Boxed, played Table tennis and threw the discus. The best part is at the end when it rewinds all your moves in a video that's played back for you. From what I read here and on the main site etc..., I truly believe the Wii's history, and Sony better wake up too! You don't need a baton or anything to play w/the Kinect. It's a done deal. I'm getting the whole set. Yes you need at least 6ft. of space between you and the set, though that's nothing. I guarantee anyone who has ever played and has been playing will agree it is top notch bar none as of today. If you got the cash don't even think about it, go get it.

Uncle Bill. There's a reason you're the 54 Billion Dollar Man.

Did you notice much lag, between your actions and what was shown on the screen?

Also, did you try the voice recognition functions (for controlling movie playback and such), and did it work alright? Some complained that it was a bit hit and miss, which is understandable given that you don't need to spend time training the system like other voice recognition systems.

No lag at all as far as I could tell. It was pretty on point. You have to make sure you're in the Kinect sensor area for everything to work as expected. Now as far as the voice recognition feature, I will get back to you after I ask my cousin about it. I don't recall him using that during Game play. Maybe he watched a flic or something in my absence and tried that voice activation function.

I have to admit that it's awesome, and if there is something missing etc... it is very minor to the overall experience. As the present numbers indicate, it's kicking butt from all corners, and it should be, as it's totally on it's own w/hands free play. Something the other 2 consoles don't have.
